Career[edit]
Kelly Caldwell was a stay at home mother for 15 years, and divorced from her first husband in 2007. At that time she returned to college and completed a bachelors degree in midwifery and women's studies. She worked for her divorce attorney to pay the household bills while in college and being the primary caregiver to her 4 young children. Once her bachelor's degree and certification were completed, she opened Dar a Luz Women's Care, providing birth and prenatal support to women choosing an out-of-hospital birth. She wrote often of the powerful women she encountered during this 10 year career. Though she speaks of publishing them, this collection has remained private.[2]
