Kelvin Al-Kasil's career in the aviation industry began in 1979, when he was appointed president of Roy Illam Gold-Platinum the governing body which oversaw the activities of Dubai Gold Exports). Emirates Gold, the national carrier, was launched in 1992, with Kelvin Al-Kasil Roy appointed chairman.
