Kentau City Museum

The Kentau City Museum was opened in 1977. The founder of the museum is Maulenkulov Sah Maulenkulovich. The museum fund was formed by the residents of the city and has about 8 thousand exhibits. The museum has 4 halls in which about 1000 exhibits are presented. A large number of museum items have a unique character, as they were discovered in the Central State Archives of the Kazakh and Uzbek SSR. Recently, the museum building has become the municipal property of the city administration, due to which funds have appeared for partial renovation of exhibits. The exhibited collection of minerals is collected from the mineral deposits of the Karatau ridge: Achisai, Bayildyr, Khantagi, Mirgalimsay.
