Kids' Typing
Kids' Typing, is a computer video game released on a CD-ROM[1] in 1993 by Sierra Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh under Bright Start and Dream Team trademarks.
The game features a talking cartoon character, resembling a friendly ghost[2] and it uses Sound Blaster[3] technology for speech and effects.
Mysterious arbitrary texts along with good old classic fairy tales are used as an example for typing practice exercises.
Despite a bit spooky atmosphere and paranormal activity[4], the game teaches the basic typing skills and calculates slowest and fastest keys.
On higher levels, typing mistakes are shown in red, they can be corrected with a Backspace key or skipped.
