Kieran who is of mixed British and Caribbean origin from Preston, Lancashire plays as a striker and is well known for his power, explosive speed and clinical eye for goal.

In the 2013/14 season, Critchley scored 21 goals in 18 matches across all competitions but missed the last 3 months of the season through injury.

In 2017 Kieran highlighted his raw pace by recording a 100 metre sprint time of 10.28 seconds on track after overcoming an injury set back.

Kieran has elected to represent the Dominican Republic at international level if an opportunity arises and is eligible to represent England and Northern Ireland also.

Kieran spent time in the Icelandic premier division with IBV Vestmanneayjar in 2015, scoring his first goal for the club in a friendly match against Swedish side Helsingborg.

In 2015, Kieran Traveled over to Brisbane, Australia to sign for Brisbane Premier division side Mitchelton FC where he scored an impressive 14 goals in 8 matches before agreeing a move to NPL Victoria premier division side Dandenong Thunder who were then managed by former Glasgow Rangers and Blackburn Rovers defender Stuart Munro. Kieran's time at Dandenong Thunder was cut short due to a meniscus injury he picked up in training but the striker still managed to notch 8 goals for the club.

Kieran spent the 2016/17 pre-season at Sky bet league two side Barnet under then manager Martin Allen who left the club before a decision could be made on the strikers trial. This led to Kieran heading to Scottish league one side Stenhousemuir for the remainder of Pre-season after opting against a move to the Maltese premier division with Gzira United for the 2016/17 season.

Kieran Joined IF Norrby in the Swedish 2nd Division, scoring 11 goals in 7 matches in 2018.

In January 2020, Kieran joined Gibraltan Premier league side FC Bruno’s Magpies on a deal until May 2020.

In June 2022, Critchley turned down the opportunity to sign for Spanish segunda side Malaga CF in favour of remaining in England.

Critchley was the subject of interest from Spanish segunda side Las Palmas in August 2022.

It’s noted that personal health issues forced the player to take a break from football but is expected to make a return during the 2023/24 season.
