Kimberly Nysse - Artist
Kimberly Ann Nysse is a large-scale self-portrait artist. She uses bold color and graphic imagery to elicit a powerful, immediate response in her work. Kimberly draws from her personal emotional experiences as a catalyst for her art and hopes the viewer feels a connection within themselves through her portraiture.
Kimberly is a current Art Studio student at Silver Lake College and a member of Sheboygan Visual Artists. Kimberly’s background is in costume design for the theatre. She Graduated from Viterbo College with Bachelors degrees in Costume Design and spent 10 years working for both American Players Theater and Milwaukee Repertory Theater. She also experiments with photography and ceramics. Her work has recently been shown at the Arts Mill in Grafton[1], UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus [2]and Thelma Sadoff Gallery in Fond Du Lac. Nysse was awarded first place[3] at the Sheboygan Visual Artists 11th annual Golden Frame awards on 5/31/2019
