King 2B Trombone
The King 2B is a small-bore trombone, originally manufactured by the H. N. White Co, now manufactured by Conn-Selmer. Originally a dual-bore model, hence 2B (2-bore) of the popular "King Liberty #1406", the King 2B has been one of the most enduring and popular jazz trombones across the world. With production starting from as early as 1935, the 2B model attracted interest from many jazz trombonists. The bright, high register of the 2B makes it suited for lead trombone playing in a big band or as a small-ensemble instrument. The 2B's dual-bore slide consists of a 0.481 in(upper), and 0.491 in(lower) inner slide. Some of the numerous users of the 2B include Tommy Dorsey, JJ Johnson, and Jiggs Whigham.
