Klickly (company)[edit]

Klickly is a computer software company centered in Santa Monica, California. It is also the name of its proprietary AI-powered transactions platform that enables purchases directly within ads and other digital interfaces. Klickly was founded by actress turned entrepreneur Cooper Harris.

History[edit]

The idea for Klickly was inspired by a situation in which Harris attempted to purchase a pair of shoes on her phone, but was forced to navigate through several mobile pages before she was able to enter her information..[1] Harris cites this as the moment she realized that consumers wanted a buy button directly within advertisements.

Harris switched from acting to tech and began fundraising for her second company, Klickly. She set up her headquarters and joined other startups in Silicon Beach, CA. In addition to venture capital funding, Klickly took funding from strategics and executives at Stripe, Google, and Adobe.[2] Klickly’s first campaigns included companies such as Fox Television Studios, Habitat for Humanity, and the UN's World Food Programme.[3]

Harris wanted to democratize this technology and then opened up Klicky’s tech by launching a self-serve dashboard to make its SaaS technology more accessible to fast-growing online brands.[4][5] Later that year, Klickly integrated with Shopify.[6]

Partnerships[edit]

Klickly works closely with other eCommerce and payments companies through both partnerships and integrations, including BluePay Card Connect (First Data),[7] EasyShip[8], and Shopify[9]

Awards and Accolades[edit]

Klickly’s technology has been well-received by companies and tech experts. In 2017, The Los Angeles Business Journal named Klickly the winner of the “Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Award,” stating that Klickly “will likely change how commerce happens.”[10] CES named Klickly the “Startup of the Year."[11] Later in 2017, Google and R/GA chose Klickly as one of four United States companies to participate in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity’s Startup Academy.[12]

The platform has been profiled in publications such as Forbes,[13] USA today,[14] and HuffPost.
