Kraftliner drum

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Fibre drum or Kraftliner drum is an industrial packaging container.

Materials[edit]

Fibre drum's body is made of kraftliner paper, a natural long fibre paper with high performance features. The top and the bottom can be made in different materials such as fibre, wood, steel or plastic.

In order to garantee higher protection to its content, an inner or outer liner of paper plus PE, alluminium, or silicone can be added.

In a standard execution, the Fibre drum has reinforcing steel chimes at upper and lower extremity, but in a more ecologic execution, the chimes can be avoided. The top's closure is made by a steel ring with lever.

Contents[edit]

powders

grains

beads

pastes

semi-liquids

wires and cables

Circular economy[edit]

Fibre drums meets the majority of circular economy principles: coming from a renewable source, demanding low energy in the production process and being a source for new raw materials (recycled paper) or new energy (with combustion).
