History[edit]

kuli jumé was launched in 2011 by the founder and CEO Huma Yahya Khattak. Bearing a very unique brand name “kuli jumé” is a word from the ‘Pushto’ language. It means: kuli- Jewelry and jumé - clothes. With the aim of expanding as a retail brand kuli jumé serves a combination of quality fabric, vibrant colors and eccentric details.

Expansion[edit]

Initially, started off with designing apparels for friends and family members which turned into a passion for Huma later on. Taking this quest of design and aesthetics to a next level she launched a label kuli jumé and showcases on her own website, social media channels and partners’ website that include StudioByTCS and Brands Just Pret.

Other Ventures[edit]

SWEEP is one of the schemes of kuli jumé, which stands for Skilled Women Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Programme. It focuses on underprivileged women who are skilled, but are unaware of the resources and ways of marketing their work. Members at SWEEP earnestly look for such women who wish to work from home providing their services in making handicrafts.

The Brave Woman is also a brain-child of kuli jumé. It is an initiative where brave, accomplished and hardworking women are being given their undue credits by acknowledging their services in their respective fields.
