Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) is a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). It was established by the State of Kuwait in 2016.[1][2][3]
Overview[edit]
KIPIC was launched on May 1st 2017 and is responsible for operating and managing refining, liquefied natural gas & petrochemicals activities of Al-Zour complex. KIPIC consists of three facilities, currently under construction and anticipated to be operational from 2019 to 2024.[4][5][6]
KIPIC uses petrochemical process technology from Honeywell UOP.[7][8]
KIPIC's facilities[edit]
- Al Zour Refinery: with target date of completion by June 2019.[9][10][11][12][13]
- LNG Import: liquefied natural gas import facility -: this terminal is expected to be completed in December 2020, with an operations start date of February 2021.[4][6][14][15]
- Petrochemical facility: with an expected completion date of January 2019. The engineering, procurement and construction phase is planned to be completed in July 2023, with an operations start date in February 2024.[4][16]
