Kyiv Investment Agency is the municipal investment enterprise which was created on September 25, 1996 by decree no. 1015 of the Kyiv city state administration. [1] It is tasked with attracting investments in the economy of Kyiv from various sources of financing to promote social and economic development taking into account the economic interests of the city and the investor.

The Kyiv Investment Agency defines priorities and carries out the following activities:

  1. The Kyiv Investment Agency provides a single office for interaction between the city authorities and investors, which provides consulting support, monitors the fulfillment of obligations and a maximally transparent investment process for all parties;
  2. The Kiev Investment Agency identifies the most attractive investment ideas and develops strategies for investment projects; informs the investing public about opportunities for potential foreign and local investors; and prepares investment projects for contests;
  3. The Kyiv Investment Agency provides active support to potential investors in Kyiv at all stages of investment activity;
  4. Kyiv Investment Agency provides active support from investors to investors at all stages of investment activity;
  5. The Kyiv Investment Agency develops partnership relations with the public and private sectors, investment and financial institutions, foreign embassies in Ukraine and business associations;
  6. The Kiev Investment Agency strives to be transparent, honest and focused on strategic partnerships for the regeneration and development of the capital of Ukraine.

Oleg Mistyuk, CEO Kyiv Investment Agency[edit]

Oleg Mstyuk was appointed director general of the Kyiv Investment Agency by the order of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko in August 2014. Mistyuk has a 20 years of bank management experience unique to Ukraine at the level of the Board of Directors. Graduates from the Corporate Finance MBA program at Bentley University (Boston, USA) and the Kennedy School of Government (Harvard University), served as a technical expert on banking sector reform for the World Bank in 2014, and in 2006-2012 he was a Member of the Supervisory Board Council and Chairman of the Strategic Committee Kreditprombank.

In 2016, under the direction of Oleg Mistyuk, reforms were enacted and a new strategy for the development of the Kyiv Investment Agency was adopted. The reforms were implemented to shorten the term of conciliation procedures for investment projects to 90 days and created a single office of interaction between the authorities of Kiev and investors, which provides the most transparent investment process for all parties. Increased participation of international financial institutions and development agencies in municipal programs.[2]
