Darryl Christian Davis (born October 20, 1997), known professionally as LA DFG is an American rapper, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur born in Atlanta, GA. The stage name LA DFG is an acronym for his love for the City of Atlanta and an indication that he is destined for greatness.

Early life[edit]

At an early age, Davis was introduced to poetry which transcended his love for hip-hop. Growing up, Davis was influenced by Lil Wayne, Tupac, and Drake which deeply ignited his passion for launching a career in music. Davis began writing poetry in grade school and also performed his rhymes while on the school bus in front of his peers. While attending school, Davis also involved himself in athletics such as football, basketball, and track & field. He played defensive-back in football, guard in basketball, and ran the 200 hurdles in track and field. His poetry then surpassed shortly after when he began writing songs.

Musical career[edit]

He later organized recording sessions for his written material which resulted in selling CD copies of his music in middle school. After graduating high school in 2016, Davis found interest in producing songs as well as audio engineering. In 2017, Davis released his debut single entitled, I Kno. Later that year, he released another follow-up single entitled, No Luv which also spawned a music video. In 2018, Davis spawned two more singles which are Block and Vent. His debut EP entitled, Pressure Makes Diamonds was later released in the spring of 2018.
