Latani is a fictional character in Cleverman, portrayed by Rarriwuy Hick. Latani is just like her father, Boondee. She’s prepared to be patient, to wait out the troubles, and then return to a peaceful life.
The only problem is that this world won’t let her live the way she and her father would like to. Latani discovers within herself a ferocious will to survive, and the brains, and determination to make it possible. And she’s a young woman discovering that possessing strength far greater than any human, can have its advantages.
Through her friendship with Alinta, Latani realizes that it is perfectly possible for humans and Hairies to happily co-exist, a belief that puts her into direct conflict with her brother, Djukara.
