Lateef Oladokun Omidiji Jr. (born 12 September 2003) is a footballer who plays as a striker for Go Ahead Eagles and has been called up to represent both United States and Nigeria at youth level.
Early life[edit]
Omidiji was born in 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. His father has both Nigerian and American citizenship. Lateef Omidiji Jr. grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.[2]
Career[edit]
He joined Feyenoord in 2017 at the age of 13.[3][4][5] Omidiji Jr. joined Go Ahead Eagles in July 2018.[6]
International career[edit]
Omidiji is eligible to represent Nigeria and the United States of America internationally. On 18 November 2016, he was called up to the US national under-14 football team.[7][8] He was also called up on May 2018 to the Nigerian U15 National team for the African Youth Games in Algiers, Algeria.[2][9][10][11][12]
In February 2019, he was called up to the Nigerian U17 National team.[13][14][15][16][17][18]
Personal life[edit]
Lateef Omidiji Jr. has an older sister Sophia Omotola Omidiji who is a Nigerian International and plays professionally for Excelsior women in the Netherlands.[19][20]
