Lawndale 13, abbreviated as L13 or LX3, is a Mexican American street gang based in Lawndale, a city in Los Angeles County, California.[1] It has a mediocre presence throughout Lawndale.[2] The gang dates back to the 1960s, however it has little noteriety as a street gang.[3] To this day, a rivalry with the gang known as North Side Redondo 13 still holds. This bitter rivalry dates back to the 1970’s, making this one of the oldest gang fueds in the Harbor area. This rivalry has resulted in three known homicides and over a dozen known drive-bye shootings, during the 1990’s.[4] It is affiliated with the Sureños and the Mexican Mafia.[5]

Rivalry[edit]

Lawndale 13's main rivals are the Varrio Sureños 13, North Side Redondo 13 and Hawthorne Little Watts 13 and lennox 13.[6]
