Lemisha M. Green (Jones) the Soldier, world traveler, entrepreneur, model and public figure is a native of Queens, New York and was raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is a 2004 Northeast High School Graduate. She earned an Associates Degree from Central Texas College and is actively engaged in college courses moving toward her Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Business. She enlisted in the Army July 2004. She successfully completed Basic Combat Training and Advance Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Upon completion of AIT she was awarded the MOS of 36B, Financial Management Specialist. She received the Female Iron Warrior Award by Achieving 322 Score on the Army Physical Fitness Test at Warrior Leaders Course for Alpha Company, Class of 06-07. Sergeant First Class Green’s assignments include: three tours in Germany, followed by Fort Bliss, Texas. She then served one year 12-13 at Camp Red Cloud, Korea then was relocated to Fort Shafter, Hawaii and is currently stationed at Fort Drum, New York. Additionally, she has deployed to Camp Rustamiyah, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09, Kandahar, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom 10-11 and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait during Operation Inherent Resolve 15-16.
Separating herself from her peers, Sergeant First Class Green devoted countless hours to her personal and professional development. Despite SFC Green’s voluminous workload, she obtained Dod Financial Management Certification, completed 18 college credit hours towards his Bachelor's degree and volunteered over 100 hours with numerous nonprofit organizations to include Red Cross while during Operation Inherent Resolve 15-16.
Being inducted into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club she has made major contributions to the club serving as the Club Treasurer, Secretary and President for 3 tenures at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and Fort Drum, New York. During her presidency at Form Drum she helped raise over $60 thousand contribution to the Special Olympics through volunteer event suchas Over the Edge, Polar Plunge and Chili Cook off. She continuously mentors, trains and coaches Soldiers and Leaders seeking mentorship. Prior to her most current deployment she was awarded Presidential Volunteer Service Award for volunteering her time as the Schofield Patriots Cheerleading Coach mentoring and providing guidance to over thirty girls from the age of 5-13 years old. She has established a long standing record of credibility, loyalty and integrity. Her awards and decorations include Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1st Silver Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal (4th Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (3 Knot Device), National Defense Service Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Army Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development (Bronze Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon (Bronze Numeral 5) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal. She has also received the President’s Volunteer Service Medal. In addition to supporting and seving her country she managed to fulfilled her dream of being a model. She was selected to be Mrs. El Paso International 2012. Mrs. El Paso has experience in pageants, commercials, promotion and print modelinas well as on the runway. In 2010 she started as member of Bazaar Model in El Paso, Texas and later Bazaar Models Elite. Lemisha Green’s short term goals are to become a First time home owner, a published model and complete her Bachelor’s Degree while remaining on the Dean’s List, and attend the Inspector General Military Education Course. Her long term goals consist of retiring from the army as the first female Sergeant Major of the Army, build a successful girls school and raise biological and adopted children.
