Lex Homeless
Origin and meaning[edit]
The concept of Lex Homeless was conceived by Zoran Tairović, a multimedia artist from Novi Sad, Serbia, during the production of his triptych film of the same name[1], which he wrote, directed, and produced. The film “Lex Homeless” is to be released in 2020.
Lex Homeless presents a new term for a new class of people on the global social map. This new class has originated as a social and economic phenomenon deeply embedded in various forms of political callousness and blindness, fuelled by neoliberal capital. It exists as an isolated reality, an invisible space between the ruler and the people. It is a social class consisting of those without a home, both physically and metaphorically, evicted from the house of social life. However, in its own right, this expanding space has its contours within the structures of the social map of the world, which gives it a palpable class character and allows for artistic, cultural, philosophical, social, political and economic exploration and action, with the aim of understanding and mitigating homelessness.
