Lexyom is an online marketplace for legal services providing users, mainly businesses and young professionals, with the tools to hire lawyers and purchase the right legal services. The company, which is based in Paris, France and Beirut, Lebanon was founded on February 2nd, 2017 and is currently providing services to users and lawyers in Beirut, Dubai, Jeddah, Cairo, Casablanca, and Paris.

History[edit]

Lexyom, Inc was founded by Me Rami Alame and Me Magda Farhat two lawyers who worked in corporate law for several years in New York, Paris and Beirut. On February 2nd, 2016 they sat down to discuss their careers and soon realized that there is a huge gap between users and lawyers. After a year of preparation, brainstorming and content drafting, the project was launched on February 2nd, 2017 and has since grown to eight cities across MENA and GCC as well as Paris.It was incubated at the UK Lebanon Tech Hub.[1]. Lexyom was also a finalist at the HiiL Innovating Justice Award 2017 [2].

Lexium launched its platform in an event in Beirut covered by major media including Commerce Du Levant Magazine [3], The National UAE [4].

Lexyom provides users with tools to purchase legal services and connect with lawyers whenever wherever. It is also a tool for lawyers to market themselves and grow their practice within their jurisdiction and abroad. Lexyom is using artificial intelligence, machine learning building processes, and workflow to simplify legal services.

Legal Technology[edit]

Lexyom is one of the early adopters of algorithms in Arabic focusing on Sharia law. Indeed a lot of processes were implemented to automate sharia Law matters and extract answers that required extensive research previously. By January 2018, Lexyom was already implementing its algorithms on other laws including corporate Law in the UAE and KSA. Lexyom is launching in Paris as of August 2018. Lexyom has launched in Egypt and featured in the chronicle Doualiya [5], and Oneeg[6]
