Life is Porno
Life is Porno is an art and streetwear label based in Prague, Czech Republic. It started as a collective of artists living in the Porno Villa in Prague.[1] and was officially launched as a brand on August 22nd, 2012[2]. The brand is known for the hand-painted snapback caps and visually specific streetwear collections.
The label was co-founded by street artist Jozef Dian (DIAN) and entrepreneur Tino Hrnčiar. Life is Porno also organises events and projects in art and extreme sports. Among most notable is a snowboarding movie series called Snowporning[3], skateboarding film Skateporning[4] or wakeboarding documentary Wakeporning[5]. Dian has worked on street art mural projects in New York[6], Warsaw[7], Bratislava[8] and Prague. His Brooklyn Bullshit Elephant was ranked among 15 Most Popular Murals of 2015 by Brooklyn Street Art magazine and Huffington Post[9].
The brand runs the space called Forbidden Spot in Prague. The original space was 1,400 square meters big and it featured "the world's most colourful art gallery"[10], co-working space, creative conference room and several art studios. Forbidden Spot had to relocate due to reconstruction of the building. The current Forbidden Spot is in Prague's Letná area and features the gallery streetwear store[11]
