Boris from the YouTube channel ‘’’Life of Boris’’’, has created his channel in 2012 and he started uploading in 2015. As of October 2018 he has around 1.8 million subscribers. At this moment in time it’s not clear where he is residing, however, it is clear that he lives in the slavic part of Europe. His videos heavily feature Mayonnaise and Slavic food such as Blini, as well as Vodka. He uploaded his first video on the 14th of May 2015. Some of Boris' most successful videos are his cooking guides for Slavic foods, the playlist for which has around 4.9 million views as of October 2018...[1]. Other types of videos that appear on Boris' channel include travel vlogs, gaming videos and fan-made animations.
Gopnik Gaming[edit]
Gopnik Gaming is a now inactive spin off gaming-related channel created by Boris, so that his main channel could focus on other content. The first video to be uploaded was uploaded on the 29th of January in 2017, announcing the channel and his last video was uploaded on the 6th of March in 2018, about 14 months later. Despite having achieved around 100 thousand subscribers in about 8 months after launch[2] and continued growth even after it being abandoned, Boris referenced a lack of time to upload sufficient videos to keep both of his channels visible in YouTube's algorithm for recommendations and searches and the waves of 'unsubcribes' that YouTube was performing as the reason for its abandonment.
Komrade Kat[edit]

Personal Life[edit]
Little is known about Boris' personal life, as he keeps it private. Boris has previously mentioned that he was a computer programmer and has made a sketch video about who has appeared in several videos on the channel. Boris also references his neighbour Vadim throughout his videos. Boris runs all aspects of the channel himself.
WESLAV[edit]
Boris runs a own fashion line/merchandise store, inspired by traditional slavic cloting Some of his products are quite similar to what Boris himself wore in the earlier days of his content creation, but with his own brand. The products on sale include Ushankas and tracksuits, with an appearance similar to the, by Boris called ‘’’Slavic’’’, Adidas brand.
Music[edit]
Boris has also made some musical videos, including a Slavic themed cover of Drake's Hotline Bling, dubbed "Slavline Blin" which has been taken down from YouTube for unknown reasons, but has been reuploaded by other channels on the platform. Another example is a music title called "Slav King," being created from a collaboration between Boris and DJ Blyatman. There are two videos of "Cheeki Breeki Hardbass" on his channel, a reference to a line from the game, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, the first of which Boris used for his intro with some of his vocals added over it and the second of which was posted in remembrance of ‘’’Apartje’’’, the creator of both songs, who passed in October of 2016.
Life of Boris: Super Slav[edit]
‘’’Life of Boris: Super Slav’’’ is a free point-and-click game for iOS and Android developed by SneakyBox studios. The game is monetised with advertisements, with an optional in-app purchase to remove them. Boris has said that it was not his idea to make the game a side-scrolling adventure and had no part in developing the game[3]
