Lil Perk is a rapper from Shelby, North Carolina. Lil Perk originated as a SoundCloud rapper, dropping his first track in 2017. Lil Perk is founder of record label “Perk Gang Ent” where he is also signed independently. Lil Perk’s music gained a lot of exposure in late 2017 to 2018. Lil Perk is commonly known because of his love drugs and past heartbreak which is commonly mentioned in his music. Lil Perk got his rapper name his Junior year of high school due to his party habits and rock star lifestyle. He gained buzz from his single FML and has been on the come up since then. He has worked with other on the rise NC artist such as Jake Villian, Fonso Rex, and 10cellphones[2]
Early Life
Lil Perk was born in Chester, South Carolina on October 28, 2000. He moved to Shelby, North Carolina in the 4th grade after being expelled from South Carolina Schools. He attended Burns High School where he played multiple sports. While at school he met Christian Hernandez (DEZ) and the two started making music together. He released "One, Two" featuring Dez which paved the way for his future success.
Lil Perk formally known as G.O.E Eazy started making music with the group "Inner Collective". The Group consisted of artist Jake Villian (Cornelius,NC), and Arik Dez (Kings Mountain, NC) and Lil Perk (Shelby,NC). The group released several articles of clothing and merchandise after raising $2,000 on Kickstart. They worked with model and social media mogul "Tez". After releasing two songs " One, Two" and "Swing" the group split up each going on to focus on their solo careers. Perk has large fan base and following on both Souncloud and Instagram. His most popular song "Lil Perk" and reached over 50,0000 streams on Soundcloud and Spotify.
Personal Life
In Febuary, 2016 Perks cousin and friend Shyheim Kennedy was murder a few blocks away from his home while walking from the store.
In June, 2018 his childhood friend Delavin Card[4] was shot and killed in Shelby, NC.
