Linx Software
Linx is a low-code development platform for creating custom business applications without coding. Linx is a product of Twenty57, a privately held corporation headquartered in Mauritius.
Twenty57 develops enterprise software and industrial strength applications for the financial services industry.

Linx was created in 1997 to adapt to a Old Mutual’s changing requests to integrate SWIFT into their trading system.
Product[edit]
Linx consists of a desktop process designer and a Windows server.
The Linx Designer is a process development tool to design, debug and run complex processes without the need to write code. The designer allows computer-literate business users to compose an application using a drag-and-drop drag-and-drop components (plugins).
The server is a Windows service that hosts and manages Linx Solutions. It is managed via a web-based interface and is responsible to triggers and automate the events defined in the solution.

Linx is developed with Microsoft .Net 4.5.2.
Applications[edit]
LinxDesigner.exe: Windows application. Linx works on Windows 7 SP1 and above. (Windows 10 recommended)
LinxServer.exe: Windows service. Linx works on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and above. We recommend Windows Server 2016 . LinxServer administrative interface: Any modern web browser.
Installation[edit]
Linx5.x.x.x.msi: Windows installer. Designer and Server can be installed on different machines.

- Databases: Linx works with all databases with an OleDb, Odbc or Ado.Net provider. Examples are MS Sql Server, Oracle, MySql, PostgreSQL, Firebird, Access. Linx also supports MongoDB – a NoSQL database. Write SQL or execute Stored Procedures or bulk copy data.

- Other: Shipped with Linx are a few basics, like a conditional ‘Throw Exception’ function, process sleep, access to the windows command line and more.
Built-in Tools[edit]
- Connection Editor: Helps build the connection string by offering the most common connection properties depending on the selected connection type.
- Debug: Allows you to run a process while debugging. While debugging, you can see the values used in the execution of the process. Add breakpoints to review a specific function input or output values in detail.
- Deploy: One-touch deployment of your solution directly to a server from the Designer
- Expression Editor: Linx uses expressions when assigning values to properties. Linx expressions are evaluated at run time and use C# syntax.
