Article Title: List of CTRM Software Systems
Description of CTRM Software
CTRM = Commodities Trading and Risk Management. This category of software used to be called 'ETRM', with 'E' for Energy. This was a misnomer, since the software typically supported other non-energy commodities such as base metals (lead), precious metals (gold) and/or softs (cocoa).
CTRM software typically has features including:
- Trade Entry (a.k.a., Deal Capture). This is for commodities trades such as futures, swaps, options, and physical trades.
- Ability to value the trades. Also called 'MTM' (mark to market) or PV (present value) or 'valuation'.
- Risk management features such as calculating 'delta' (market risk) and/or VaR (Value at Risk)
- Scheduling (also called logistics) for physical trades
This list has the name of the vendor and the name of the software product.
Vendor: ION Group
Vendor: FIS Global
These are products that are no longer sold. These may or may not have any customers still using them.
Vendor: Sakonnet Technology
Note to Wikipedians: The full list will have probably over 100 different software packages from about as many different companies. i.e., that are all in the CTRM Software category. This kind of sortware is used by thousands (10k+?) of people around the world. This first version as of May 2019 is meant to be a starter list for this article.
