Ljubojna (Macedonian: Љубојна) is a Macedonian traditional folklore band founded by Vera Miloševska-Josifovska and Oliver Josifovski.

Background[edit]

The name "Ljubojna" came from the Macedonian words љубов (English: love) and бој (English: battle). The band's sound is founded on traditional folklore.[1]

In 2016, the band commemorated 15 years of their foundation, with several concerts around the world, including China and New York City. The same year, they were pronounced a "superband". At the beginning of 2017, they released their ninth studio album, titled Radio Ljubojna recorded at the studio Podrum. The album contains eight new songs, among which "Kratovo via Brazil", "Galičnik via New York", "Mnogu mi go falat vašeto devojče", "Stani da ne staniš". On 23 February 2017, the band held their concert at the Dom na Sindikate in Belgrade in support of Radio Ljubojna; Vlatko Stefanovski, Vasil Hadžimanov and Džambo Agušev were guests of the concert.[2]
