Lost Beach Club is an electronic music nightclub located in the small surfer town of Montañita,bin the province of Santa Elena, Ecuador. It was officially opened in 2010, has a bamboo based infrastructure and murals filled with street art.

History[edit]

The club dates back to 1998 with small electronic parties in Pelícano and Alibabar.[1][2]

Later born the Montañita Art Center (2001 - 2005) by its founder Kami Tadayon[3], where the electronic scene of the town began to gain impulse and bring recognized international DJs like Lee Foss, Mr. C and Steve Bug; finally it opens its doors as Lost Beach Club in 2010.

The club can accommodate 3000[4] people and his building is a mix between bamboo, palm trees, concrete and acoustically sealed spaces for after hours.

According DJ Mag is one of the 7 Clubs in breathtaking natural locations[5] and the rustic structure surrounds the location situated in a beach front area.

In april 2016, the musical platform Boiler Room (music project) choose the club to made its first streaming media in Ecuador. The main presentation was by the British DJ Max Chapman[6] and attended by about 2000 people; the event was of such magnitude that Thump, channel of culture and electronic music of Vice Media, made a special coverage of it and called as "a cathedral of love" to the club.[7]

Specialized magazines in technology have made articles about their sound system due to its size and magnitude[8] and Djs/producers as Richy Ahmed,[9] Mark Jenykns,[10] Secondcity,[11]Max Chapman,[12] Dennis Cruz[13] and Miguel Campbell[14] have openly declared their preferences in interviews to media.
