Luar
Luar (born on 16.12.1990, Tirana, Albania) is a well-known singer - songwritter and pianist. Her full Name is Luar Arani. She rose to prominence with her collaboration "Gjithmone" with producer Flori Mumajesi at age 16.[1] that become also a hit in Turkey[2]. The song continues being heard even nowadays and it is considered as one of the best collaborations[3] in Albania[4]. Starting at age 19 she has been living in Berlin,Germany. On January 2018 her new single "Dy" was number one on itunes charts in Russia[5] for several months.
Early life[edit]
Luar was born in Tirana, Albania. Her full name is Luar Arani. Her first name, Luar, has an atypical nature and it is not common in hr home homecountry, but she grew to "enjoy" it, as it eventually eliminated the need for a stage name.
At the age of 6 she started studying piano at the artistic Lyceum Jordan Misja until the age of 14. She not only gave piano concerts but was also part of the choir with which she sang at early age in France, Italy, Romania etc. Before starting her solo singer career she performed at many children festivals with her younger sister Olesia Arani.
At the age 14 she participated in the first children singing - competition "Gjeniu i Vogel - Little Genius" where she made it into the finals and won the Audience Award.
Her first producer Flori Mumajesi that composed a song for her and her sister at the age of 11 was the one with whom she made her first collaboration with when she turned 16[6].
At the age 19 she moved to Berlin, Germany to learn the german language and study there[7] where she finished her Bachelor for Business Administration at HWR.
Music Career[edit]
Her first debute was in June 2007 with the song "Githmone", which means "Forever", in collaboration with Flori Mumajesi. The song was a hymn for many couples that were brought together due to the famous collaboration[8]. The song is considered as one of the best collaborations in Albania[9]. Afterward the song "Nuk te njoh me" - "I don't recognize you anymore" was released on November 2007 only as an Audio version[10]. In Februar 2008 she released the single "Vetem" - "Alone" in audio and video version. This song was very personal to her as it was composed for a person very close to her that she lost during that period of time. At that time she started to experiment and write her own texts and melodies. In July 2008 she released the song "Udhetim" - "Journey", melodic line and text composed from her, which also was very loved from the public and became a hit during that time[11]. The song was released in video and audio version. After moving to Germany she released on January 2009 the song "Film Premier" originally composed from producer Flori Mumajesi and rearranged from producer Adrian Hila. Afterwards she released her first single in english titled "Remember"[12]. Due to her other engagements she decided to take a break from releasing new song and concentrated on her studies and on composing new songs[13][14].
On June 2016 with Dj Gon Haziri the song "Githmone" was released again after almost 9 Years as a remix, reaching again great sucess. In August 2017 it was finally announced from several medias that she will start her music career and collaborating with new producers in Prishtina[15][16][17][18]. In October 2017 her new single "Si dje " - "Like Yesterday " was release on several music platforms and thus, her return in the music industry was marked and very well received[19][20][21]. The melodic line and text was composed from her whereas the beat was done from the producer Cricket[22][23][24][25].
After the release of the song "Si dje " Luar and DJ Gon Haziri decided to collaborate again and released the new single "Dy " - meaning "Two " under the contract with the Russian Lable Effective Records[26][27]. The melodic line and text was again composed from her. The song was number one on itunes charts in Russia making her one of the first Albanian singers being heard in Russia[28][29][30][31]
