Ly Kimlong
Ly Kimlong (native: លី គីមឡុង) is the first ever Cambodian chess national master. As of 2020, he is the current number one ranked chess player and a national champion in Cambodia.

Early life[edit]
Born on the 28th of March, 2003; In the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Kimlong first came to chess at the age of 8 years old. He began studied chess later at the age of 15. He self taught himself about the fundamentals of chess and moved on to studied with grandmasters from many countries.
Chess career[edit]
He received his first chess title at the age of 17. Kimlong also represents Cambodia and the Cambodian Chess Federation at World Junior Chess Championship and World Amateur Chess Championship. He is the current first board player and the team captain of the Cambodia National Chess Team.
