Lysistrati Halkides (born July 14, 1992) known as Lysi Halkides. Is a Greek swimmer[1] who attended Purdue University[2]. She is a member of the Olympiacos F.C. swim team in Greece[3], she also competed as a member of the Greek National Team. She obtained qualifying times for the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympics. In 2009, she was ranked 18th in FINA's 400 SCM IM world rankings[4]. She swam in the World Cup meets in Moscow (7th place), Stockholm (9th place) and Berlin (7th place), representing Greece.[5] In 2015 she placed 15th in the 200IM at the European Championships in Budapest, Hungary.[6]

She has set 11 national Greek records and was awarded the key to the city and mayor's award of Aegina, Greece[7]. She was also honored as the Florida Girls Swimmer of the Year and qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and 200 and 400 IM.[8]

In addition, she is a private pilot after taking an interest in aviation when she attended Purdue University.
