MXMJoY
MXMJoY is a music group consisting of Janine Rainforth and Charlie Llewellin.[1] and others. Rainforth and Llewellin were members of Maximum Joy, who formed in Bristol in 1981 [2]
Maximum Joy reformed in 2015 and played two shows (at Simple Things Festival in Bristol [3] and at the Lexington in London [4]), after which Rainforth and Llewellin decided to continue making music together as MXMJoY. Rainforth was interviewed in the Guardian about her experiences as a member of Maximum Joy.
In February 2019 they released P.E.A.C.E [5], an album of new material. It was reviewed in Crack Magazine and Bleep.
