Madrat and Chiko are two Stand-up comedians from Uganda that perform as a duo. Their real names are Dickson Lubega & Frank Mubiru respectively. Chiko was an actor for before he starting a radio career at 'Dunamis FM. He did not consider himself as a comedian though his audience laughed due to his content on air, he decided to go into Stand-up comedy after influence from his friends. Madrat joined Epic Mobile Sounds as the official DJ and performed as an Mcee. He went on to form Malibu Comedians where he performed comedy events at pubs.[1]

Career[edit]

The two met and formed a group called Stress Doctors, and performed skits and stand-up comedy.Madrat and Chiko formed after the other two group members left the group. They formed Madrat and Chiko and have gone on to perform alongside comedy greats in a variety of platforms. This duo's content is drawn from everyday situations and observations.[2] Besides comedy, the duo are also business men in their own right. .[3] They have performed together since 2013 with their manager Mc Green, Madrat(Dickson Lubega) was working as a dj before the duo joined forces and Chiko(Frank Mubiru) was in a drama club.[4] In 2017 they staged their first maiden show which now occurs annually dubbed Nsekobuseko at Grand imperial hotel, kampala.[5] On 25 September 2017, they staged yet another episode of their show Nsekobuseko season 2 after a successful first edition[6][6] Madrat and Chiko headline Singleton challenge in Entebe[7][7]
