Manoj V Jain is an author based out of India. He started his writing career in 2015 with his first book , the BNO - Sex Life & Hookah . Manoj primarily is a businessman who's a Director at Karmatex apparels Pvt Ltd.[1] He has been a businessman in the garment trade since 1990 . He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad .[2] Manoj is also a student of Psychology . His books take on topics that are a social taboo in India. He usually writes in the fiction genre , however many people do question the origins of these stories.[3]
Early life and education[edit]
Manoj V Jain was born on 27th October 1965 . His Father , Vipin Jain ran a successful travel business , and his mother , Swaran Jain was a homemaker. Manoj has two older sisters . He was a student at Bombay Scottish School . After this he enrolled at the H.R. College of Commerce and Economics for his Junior college . He completed his Bachelor's Degree at Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics . He is also an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad . After his graduation Manoj started his Garment export business under the name Karmatex Apparels . He married his wife Shikha on 20 February 1994 .[4] He is also the father to Vedant Jain and Diva Jain.
Literary career[edit]
Manoj started his literary career in 2015 , where he wrote his first book , The BNO - Sex, Life & Hookah . The book revolved around 8 people and their lives in a metropolitan world. This was published by Notion Press . In 2016 , he published his second book , The THC - Under a gibbous moon . The book focused on the lives of three individuals who were troubled by baggage from their past . Manoj has always maintained that his books do not revolve around real stories and are purely fiction , however there has been some debate on the same . His books always have a deep psychological meaning and dive into the depths and complexities of the human mind .[5]
The BNO[edit]
The book, BNO,Sex - Life and Hookah talks about human relationships, shadows and hidden faces, sexual fantasies and the psychological implications to it. The book revolves around the lives of 8 individuals . These individuals meet for a Boys Night Out in Pune . Through the course of the book , Each ones character is explored and the their phycological issues respectively . The book highlights , that every person has issues from their past that bothers them and how they choose to deal with it . The book was one of the first of its kind in the Indian Scenario . It Earned Manoj the title " The Author of the Taboo " .[6][7]
The THC[edit]
The THC is a non fiction book that talks about a place called the Total Holistic Centre . The Centre welcomes those who are in need of Psychological help . The book focusses on the lives of three strangers who each deal with their own baggage . The book deals with topics such as loss , addictions & impotence .[8]
