Mapar house

An old building that it belongs to the end of the first Pahlavi period . it it locates near to Karoun river and Khansari st. that it is supposed as the oldest street in Ahwaz .

 This house has 2 yards also there is a beautiful pond in each yard . it is on 2 floors and consist of a basement that is a Hafez literaring lovers assoction .

Hafez library ,  grand floor , and a room in the top which is handicrafts disposal . This historical building was registered national natural heritage site in 2001 .

Its facade is completely outward and interval structure is less traditional .

Iranian form design visible in this building and the rooms are combination  of traditional , hall and modern rooms . after repairation of the house from 1383 to 1384 this building was as "Training and creation center of traditional arts" .

This house was built by the bricks following the Khuzestan native .architecture also in entrances were used brickwork decorations having stony basement , arcads  , wooden doors , stony walls and wooden ceilings are significant characteristics of this house.

There are generally handicrafts in ground floor that you can visit handicrafts of different cities of Khuzestan province and buy whatever you like .

Recently  , Mapar house has been a cozy and quiet place for spending free times with friends and  in this lovely pantry of Mapar house you can eat various foods and drink different beverages .
