Mariah Huq (born in Chatanooga, Tennessee) is an American mother, wife, entrepreneur, producer, author, philanthropist and spokesperson.[1] She is best known for creating, executive producing and appearing in a recurring role in Bravo's TV series Married to Medicine.

Personal Life[edit]

Huq resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Her husband Dr. Aydin Huq, an emergency doctor who was born in Bangladesh and they have two children.[1]

Career[edit]

Mariah Huq is best known for creating, executive producing and appearing in a recurring role in Bravo's TV series Married to Medicine.[2][3]

Philanthropy[edit]

Mariah Huq has worked with Sparkles of Life (non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families on their paths to parenthood. Sparkles of Life, supports women whose journey consists of infertility, miscarriage(s), or delayed parenting, using education, empowerment, and advocacy by providing a variety of programs for women in all stages of conception & delivery.

Huq and her husband Dr. Aydin Huq, an emergency doctor who was born in Bangladesh, work with a non-profit organization that supports educational, health and humanitarian needs for disadvantaged people in both the United States and Bangladesh. The foundation has a three-story school building & children’s home in Bangladesh and provides many scholarships to children in need.

Huq and her family work with their local Mosques and Churches in Huq’s hometown of Chattanooga donating several book scholarships for college students.

Huq, her husband and their two children travel the world and do community outreach & service at each destination. They recently traveled to Kenya Africa donating food, clothing, school and medical supplies to a Kebene Children's Home in Mombosa.

The Chattanooga Hamilton County Branch of the NAACP have chosen Mariah to receive the Humanitarian of the Year Award at their 32nd Annual Ruby Hurley Image Award.
