Marie-Therese Emma Caraher Gilbert, is an actress and model most notable for being Mrs New Zealand 2006. Caraher-Gilbert completed at Mrs World 2006 in St.Petersburg, Russia representing New Zealand and at Mrs. Commonwealth International 2006 in London, England where she won 1st runner-up.

Early life[edit]

Emma was born in 1965 in the Bay View Nursing Home in Derry, Northern Ireland. She is the second child of Dr.Francis Caraher (father) and Dorena Anne Caraher, née McNally (mother). The family moved to the United States of America not long after Emma was born. Emma went to Ogdensburg Catholic School in Ogdensburg, New York. At age 12, In 1977 Emma and her brother, John, were sent to boarding school in Northern Ireland. Emma attended school at the Dominican College, Portstewart from 1977 to 1984.

Career[edit]

Marie-Therese has been working with Hugo Weaving and Peter Jackson on their latest film Mortal Engines (film).
