Mating-Induced Transgenerational Epigenetic Silencing
Mating-induced Transgenerational Silencing[edit]
Mating-induced Transgenerational Silencing is an epigenetic gene silencing phenomenom in Caenorhabditis elegans where the transgene (Pmex-5::mCherry::h2b::tbb-2 3’utr::gpd-2 operon::gfp::h2b::cye-1 3’ utr + unc- 119(+)), when inherited through the male parent, is silenced for over 150 generations in the progeny[1]
