You, Me & Them (British Television Series)[edit]

You, Me & Them is a British Television Programme created by Steve Turner. Both of the series were aired on Gold. The first series began airing on 12 October 2013 and concluded on 27 November 2013. The second series began airing on 5 April 2015 and concluded on 12 May 2015. In 2016, it was announced that there are no current plans for a third series.

Plot[edit]

The series is about a couple, Ed Walker (Head) and Lauren Grey (Myles) who have an age gap of 26 years and the problems that they face.

Series 1[edit]

In series 1, Lauren introduces Ed to her family: parents Emma and Clive; sister Deborah "Debs" Mason; brother in law Keith Mason and niece and nephew, Charlie and Ellie. Lauren's family is clearly opposed to the relationship with Debs saying that Ed must be having a final fling before he dies and Lauren in it for the money. Ed's ex wife, Lydia Walker ho he divorced several years previously, lives in the house next door and constantly tries to get rid of Lauren and get Ed back. During the first series, Lauren's Buddha gets lost and then broken, Ed and Lauren attend the funeral of an old friend of Ed's, Lauren's old fear of a ghost named "Old McCready" returns and Lauren qualifies as a veterinary nurse.

Series 2[edit]

In series 2, Ed and Lauren face new challenges such as meeting Ed's mother, the appearance of Ed's ex-girlfriend, attending Lauren's school reunion and getting engaged. At the end of the series, they get married after Tim and Ellie call of their wedding last minute.

Anthony Head as Ed Walker, a fifty-something year old man who has recently entered into a relationship with Lauren who is 26 years younger than him. He owns a chain of garages called "Walkers Wheels" and is incredibly wealthy. He has some children and some grandchildren, including Tim.

Eve Myles as Lauren Grey, a trainee veterinary nurse who is in a relationship with Ed Walker who is 26 years her senior. She is only just settling into her life after travelling the world.

Nigel Betts as Alan Walker, Ed's younger brother who has taken up occupancy in his brother's house.

Daisy Beaumont as Deborah "Debs" Mason, Lauren's sister who is an aspiring artist. She became pregnant with Ellie as a young person and so had to get married to Keith, so as to make her mother feel better.

Marcus Garvey as Keith Mason, Debs' husband. He married Debs after she got pregnant.

Susie Blake as Emma Grey, Lauren and Debs' mother. She is quite It is implied that in the 1970s, after a Rolling Stones concert, she went back to Mick Jagger's hotel room.

Jeff Rawle as Clive Grey, Lauren and Debs' father.

Miller Henderson as Charlie Mason, son of Keith and Emma.

Alice Felgate as Ellie Mason, daughter of Keith and Emma. She thinks that her parents are overly controlling and regularly rebels against them. She begins a relationship Tim Walker, Ed's grandson and eventually has a pregnancy scare. Eventually she decides to move in with him but her mother disagrees with her judgement. After realising that his flat is not fit for human habitation, she decides to

Joshua McGuire as Tim Walker, Ed's grandson who has been kicked out of university and after comforting Ellie when she breaks up with her boyfriend, in a relationship with her.

Lindsay Duncan as Lydia Walker, Ed's ex-wife who has moved into the house next door. Since their divorce, she has had difficulty accepting that their relationship has ended and so endeavours to convince him that he shouldn't be in a relationship with Lauren and should instead be with her. She has stalker tenancies that include: going into Ed's house if they leave the door unlocked, watching his house through binoculars and hiding in bushes so as to find out information.
