MedPPP

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

MedPPP[1] (Medical Pivotal Partner Portal) is a new way to search bio-medical information for biomedical researchers. It applied technologies such as named entity recognition[2] ,text mining [3] , and data visualization technologies that make biomedical liturature data more accessible, understandable, usable and reveal hidden relationships.

In a simple search, user query related bio-medical concepts such as disease, chemical, gene, mutation, species, anatomy and cellular structure and functions are displayed in the order of relevance score. For each related concept, evidences/references for the relationship are provided. In an advanced search, two query results are compared and their common relations are displayed and sorted by relevance score. Those common relations indicate potential links between the two queries that can point to new research directions.[4]
