Melancholia is a 1989 political thriller with drama and crime thriller elements, directed by Andi Engel. It premiered 5 May 1989 at the 42nd Cannes Film Festival. It received the Evening Standard British Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer in 1990.[3]
Plot[edit]
Art critic David Keller was once part of a far-left radical group. The group contacts him 10 years later and asks him to assassinate a Chilean doctor and war criminal, who's visiting London, but Keller has lost his ideals and feels conflicted.
