Publications[edit]

Up to this date (April 2018), there are four issues out:

Issue 1: The Self Issue

This was the first issue of this magazine. It has 120 pages dedicated to positive body image, pressures of social media and searching for purpose. The issue is divided in three parts: discovering yourself, expressing yourself and loving yourself.

Issue 2: Rebel Rebel

The second printed edition. 120 pages that talk about straying from the conventional path, authenticity and bravery. This issue also includes submissions from people who share their experiences around this subject. Just as the first one, this second edition has three themed parts: standing out, standing up and standing together.

Issue 3: HOME

Third edition of the printed magazine. This time it contains 145 pages of content instead of the usual 120 pages the two previous issues had. Just as in the previous issue (Rebel Rebel), it features submissions from people, this time sharing experiences with moving across the country, living in many places, leaving, creative spaces and more. The issue is structured in three themed parts: home as a place, home with a person and home as an idea.

Jawbreaker by Messy

Fourth edition of the magazine, this time with another name and under some different characteristics - 416 pages, 54 interviews and more than 800 film photos. This issue is an intimate snapshot of New York City youth, touching subjects such as inspiration, love, art, being queer and leaving what was known behind for the unknown.
