Mexican Physical Society

Mexican Physical Society (SMF) is an association of physicists and other collaborators dedicated to contributing to research in different areas of physics, as well as organizing important national events related to this science, such as the Physics Olympics and the Teaching Encounters . This society is also responsible for the accreditation and supervision of learning and teaching in physics at the upper and upper secondary level. Its main offices are in the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM, in Mexico City.[1]

The Mexican Physical Society (SMF) was formally founded in 1951 with 21 members that included distinguished physicists like Manuel Sandoval-Vallarta and Carlos Graef-Fernández [2].
