Michael Etheridge

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Michael Etheridge, also known as Mike E. (born January 4, 1976) was an original member of the Neptunes. The group was formed with 4 members: Mike, Chad, Pharrell, and Sheldon. They resided and attended high school in Virginia Beach at Princess Anne High School. After school Mike, Pharrell and Sheldon would knock on the door of Teddy Riley's studio located next to their school.[1] With countless attempts to enter with no success, they were finally invited inside.[2] From the moment Mike entered "Future Records Recording Studios" he realized that it was not just a name, but instead it was also the start of his future. Mike was the singer of the group the Neptunes, before Pharrell and Chad went on to become one of the biggest production duos within the music industry. As time went on Teddy Riley signed him as a solo artist to Lil Man Records/Interscope. While signed Mike wrote for the platinum group Black Street on their album titled Another Level. Shortly after, Lil Man Records and Interscope parted ways.[3] Capitol Records then acquired Mike's album. He released a single with Capitol called Masterplan that was executive produced by Teddy Riley.

After being on the road doing shows with Mary Mary, Genuine, Jagged Edge, J-Shin, Mint Condition, E-40, Donnell Jones, Tracy Spencer, Montel Jordan, Sammy, and many others, Mike matured spiritually. His encounter with God shifted his focus and also matured his music into a positive spiritual musical sound. After a long hiatus of soul searching and self-evaluation Mike came back with a new sound, and a new movement called Generation Next.[4] Mike is not only a producer, song writer, singer, arranger, etc., He is a visionary and entrepreneur as well. In 2013 Mike produced a song called "Still Got Love" for No Malice's album "Hear Ye Him". In 2014 Mike released his first unofficial single "Faithful". Mike also released the  singles "It's Gonna Be Alright" and "New Life featuring No Malice", a former member of The Clipse. Mikes blend of gospel, R&B, Hip Hop and soul has constantly reinvented itself. With growth comes change, with change comes his new movement, that has flourished into the brand "GNextLife".
