Michelle Dominique Laxalt (Reno, 1954), is an American Legislative consultant. She attended the University of Nevada at Reno and the Arizona State University in Tempe.[citation needed]

She founded the The Laxalt Corporation in Washington D.C. in 1984, the first Republican woman to form her own consulting firm in the capital. Washingtonian magazine named her one of the top 50 lobbyists in the city in 1993. She is also a well known TV pundit in the capital. She frequently appears on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business, and Canadian TV to provide news analysis. She is also a member of the American Women in Radio and Television organisation..[1]

Personal life[edit]

Michelle D. Laxalt is daughter of the late Nevada governor and senator Paul Laxalt and Jackalyn Laxalt. She is also the mother of Adam Laxalt, a republican politician. Adam was born in Reno but raised by Michelle in Washington, D.C. In 2013 it was revealed that Adam's father was senator Pete Domenici, who admitted to secretly fathering a son with Laxalt in the 1980s.[2] [3]
