Miller Lacrosse

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Miller Lacrosse (M11) was founded on Long Island, a hotbed of lacrosse, in 2008 to serve growing youth interest. Membership in US lacrosse, the governing body, has increased by 60% since 2008.[1] Much of the sports growth is attributed to its fast-paced game situations. [2]

Miller Lacrosse (M11) has harnessed this growth and expanded from private lessons to host clinics, camps, and travel teams in New York, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Utah and Minnesota. [3][4] Summer camps are hosted in vacation spots including Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Fort Lauderdale and Montauk, New York. Competitive teams are based out of the New York metro area and Florida. Miller Lacrosse's popularity comes from its inclusive nature with players returning year after year.

In 2016 the company expanded to include sports experience events with a gaming trailer to incorporate both exercise and video game fun in a party setting. [5] The parties are not just for lacrosse enthusiasts, flag football, soccer, and relay events are also offered.

The owner of Miller Lacrosse (M11), Brady Miller, also coaches in the girls lacrosse programs for the King School in Stamford Connecticut and for the Greenwich Youth Lacrosse program in Greenwich Connecticut.[6] [7]

Brady is the 11th child in a family of 12 with a long history of lacrosse. His father, Bill Miller, was a founding member of the Manhasset Police Athletic League lacrosse program in Manhasset, New York [8]. His brother Eugene Miller was admitted to the Boston College Athletic Hall of Fame for lacrosse in 1992. [9] His brother Blake Miller played for Team USA in the World Lacrosse Championship in 1998 and 2006.
