Milton Times The Milton Times is the prime source of news and information in Milton MA USA. The company produces a weekly newspaper, online and in print as well as managing a community app called the Milton Insider. The newspaper originated in 1995. Its website, www.miltontimes.com, was created in 1996. The company is owned by Pat Desmond, who currently holds 100% of the stock in the corporation. Her two children June and Tim Desmond had owned 5% each until the end of 2016 when they cashed out. Pat, whose legal name is Patricia, lives in Quincy, MA. She grew up in the adjacent town of Milton where she has lived off and on during her lifetime. She remains as the publisher of the The newspaper is edited by Lisa D. Connell. The writing staff includes Elaine Cushman Carroll, Ed Baker, Jake Kerin, Laura Griffin, Bobbi Wegner, Hilda Morrill, Diane Baltozer, MaryEllen Welch, Frank Desmond and Maria Karagianis. Others on staff include Nadine Leary, Sue Bertram, Karen Wilkinson, Susan Generous, Aldo Pinto and Barry Nelson. The newspaper office is located at 3 Boulevard St., East Milton, MA. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The office is closed on: New Year's Day, the 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The mission of the newspaper is to be all about Milton. It is hyper-local. The newspaper is a member of the New England Newspaper and Press Association. It has won awards for features, cartoons, editorials and news stories in both the NENPA and National Newspaper Association contests. It is the paper of record for the community.
