Since 2017 Avakin[1] pageants have been hosted mostly on Instagram. Avakin life [2] is a 3D virtual world game. Similar to IMVU and Second Life. All these pageants are just like real Beauty Pageants. The most prestigious ones being the Miss Universe[3] Avakin and the Miss World [4] Avakin. Awards being Tiaras, Sashes, as well as virtual cash. The contestants are mostly judged on Swimsuit competition evening gown competition and then the question and answer round. Its being hosted by the various pageant directors on instagram. So far, Indonesia and USA have had the highest number of wins (3) in the Avakin[5] Pageant hstory.
History[edit]
Early Pageants[edit]
The first Avakin[6] pageant was Miss Universe[3] Avakin 2017 had twenty one entries was hosted on April 30 2017 and the winner was Julia Christi[7] of Indonesia. The pageant is owned and directed by Mariana Dayana Mendosa known as Miss Avakin on youtube.[8] After sometime, She diverted and started posting the pageants on Instagram.[9] It was then followed by Miss World[4] Avakin 2017 where Arizona Lee of United States was the winner. It was later on Miss Grand International[10] Avakin and Angelina DCruz of Indonesia placed winner.
2018 Pageants[edit]
Alongside Mariana Dayana, Tristan Hidy also joined and started hosting the pageants first one being Miss Glamour 2018[11] where Mariam Claret represented Venezuela and was winner. Tristan does his pageants on both Instagram[12] and Youtube[13]
Contestant Selection[edit]
In the first two pageants, that is Miss Universe Avakin[14] and Miss World Avakin[15] Contestants were selected by sharing the post and tagging Mariam Claret. Alongside filling i their info on the page[16] Soon later in the Miss Grand and forward, contestants just had to comment under the post the Avakin username, age and country. If your country is selected, you just had to simply pick another country. The highest population of Avakin players are from United States and India.
