Mahommed Moorad (born 10 April 1981), better known by his stage name Mo Magic, is a South African magician and a qualified electronic engineer with an honours degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban.

Early Life[edit]

Mo Magic found his calling at university, whilst questioning his path and purpose for life. He then attended self development courses where he learnt that we as individuals could choose the quality of life we want for ourselves. Soon after, he made a conscious intention to the universe to find his unique calling. Later, whilst working on his design project with his close friend, Mo saw David Blaine on TV and was astonished. Having seen the same show years before and merely dismissing the illusions as camera tricks, this time, Mo was in awe and knew that this was what he wanted to do - astonish and entertain people with magic. It was here that his love for the art of magic began.[1]

Career[edit]

Mo Magic has grown regionally and nationally with regular media and TV appearances[2] [3] [4] [5], driven by his love for entertaining with magic. In 2010, he resigned from a lucrative career as a project & customer manager in the automotive industry to pursue his entertainment career on a full time basis[6]. Now regarded by many as South Africa’s top magician, he continues to astonish, entertain and inspire audiences in South Africa and abroad with his magic.
