Mobycy is an Indian tech company[3] which has been founded in August 2017 by Akash Gupta and Rashi Agarwal. The dockless bike sharing[4][5] service was officially launched in November 2017 from Gurgaon and today Mobycy is present in a few cities of India like Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore, Kota, Chandigarh, Pune and others.

In November’17, Mobycy raised $500k from an investor from US.

Mobycy is an app which provides users affordable last mile commute options[6] with bicycles[7], e-bikes and e-scooters around metro stations, tech parks and residential areas. A user can locate their bikes on the app and scan the QR on them to unlock the same for riding. Once the user reaches their parking point or his destination, they can end the ride by ending ride on the app.

In May’17, the company also launched electric scooters and electric bicycles[8] on sharing adding to their existing fleet of 1000 bicycles.

History:

Mobycy was founded in August 2017 and raised $500k in angel funding led by an American investor in November 2017. The company's first location, Gurgaon city along with Manav Rachna University, Faridabad and Chitkara University, Chandigarh[9], launched in December 2017 with 100 bicycles. Mobycy expanded in March 2017 to the cities of Bangalore, Kota and Pune. In May 2017, Mobycy launched with 50 e-bicycles and e-scooters in Gurgaon.

Products:

Mobycy uses smart IOT lock systems which are used to unlock the bicycles and e-bikes using users smartphone. The bicycles are fitted with airless tyres, adjustable seats, drum brakes and unisex frame to suit Indian conditions.
