Morressier GmbH is a Berlin-based technology company that provides a platform for early-stage research and virtual and hybrid academic conference software. Research on the Morressier platform includes abstracts, posters, presentations, and conference proceedings as well as datasets, videos, and negative results.[1]

The company aims to foster scientific collaboration and help researchers accelerate their scientific breakthroughs by bringing previously hidden research online and making it easily accessible and discoverable.[2]

Morressier was launched in 2014 by co-founders Sami Benchekroun, Justus Weweler, and Rino Montiel in order to provide opportunities for "conference organisers [sic] and societies to host, manage and showcase abstracts, posters and presentations in a workflow and platform approach."[3]

Morressier is a venture backed company. The company’s seed funding of USD $1.7 Million was led by venture capital company Redalpine in 2017.[4] Cherry Ventures led a USD $4.5 Million round in 2018.[5][6]

Concept ==[edit]

Morressier provides solutions to digitize and disseminate research posters and presentations[7], as well as facilitate virtual or hybrid scientific and academic conferences. Services include abstract management, poster submission and review, live-streaming, post-event analytics, and digital conference content libraries.[8] Morressier provides all uploads with a Digital Object Identifier to ensure research can be securely shared and cited.[9]

As of September 2020, Morressier is working with over 200 societies, institutions, and organizations to "structure their early-stage research and facilitate new revenue streams, publishing opportunities, and research partnerships."[10][11]
