(Born in September, 1973) is a Bangladeshi painter, singer, Bangla lyricist, music composer, photographer and graphic designer, all in one. He achieved the Burger Young Artist award in 2006 in Bangladesh. In 2015, he has been recognized as one

of the three modern artists working in the surrealist tradition by the prestigious “Galeria Virtual Julliet Ramirez Hernandez” and featured in the gallery’s Facebook page. Currently he is affiliated with Agora Gallery, New York, NY, USA, and attached with Art Lover Australia and with gallery247.com.au. He is an activeMember of Facebook groups Acrylic Paint Pouring Group and Acrylic Art Paintings Group. Popularly known as Biplob Mrinal, Painter Mrinal has produced and still producing a huge body of paintings that include Nature worshipping, female freedom and the force of eternal womanhood as the core themes, and his art works are achieving extensive recognition from the art lover communities across the globe.

Origin and Education: Hailing from a small riverside town of Bangladesh, Chandpur, Mrinal inherited his artistic talent from his grandfather who was a Kirton singer (a type of hindu religious song) and the idyllic beauty of his birthplace created in him a fervent Nature lover who is only destined to be an artist in future. He studied Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Chittagong University, and it is here that the multitalented Mrinal got the best place for full blossom. While studying Fine Arts, he joined a university-based Cultural group, Angon, where he earned the nick-name Baula (folksinger) by singing folksongs. He got some very talented artists as his teachers and their works and spirit contributed in the shaping of the artist in Mrinal.

Career: Mrinal started his career as a graphic designer with a reputed advertising agency -, Asiatic JWT, and by the year 2015, when he left the job, he was promoted to the post of Associate Creative Director of the company. His duties there included logo designing, product branding, advertising photoshoot--------. Now he works as a graphic designer at Adjust Graphix, Melbourne. In his career as a painter, he started exhibiting his artworks during his student life and till now he has participated in around 100 exhibitions both home and abroad. During the period from 2009 to 2013, more than 50 of his artworks have been given to international political delegates to Bangladesh as national gift by the Bangladesh Govt. As a Bangla lyricist, he wrote more than 200 songs, and composed music to most of them. As a singer he is widely known for his songs “Tumi Chaya Dekho Amar Kache Ki Dei Tomai”', “Bangla Ma”, “PhoolVomora”, “Majhi” and many other songs of which he is the lyricist and music composer as well. As a Graphic designer, he worked for world famous brands like Nokia, Airtel, Lux. As a photographer, he participated in a number international exhibitions. (All links are given below).

en and pencil drawings on paper. Gradually he shifted to Acrylic on canvas. However he never left his pen drawings, and his strong line strokes are hugely appreciated by art lovers. Popularly known as Biplob Mrinal, Painter Mrinal has produced and still is producing a huge body of paintings that include Nature worshipping, female freedom and the force of eternal womanhood as the core themes. Mrinal looks at Nature from a worshipper’s perspective and in his paintings, he tries to explore and capture the magnanimity of Nature through various forms and figures taken from nature that keep continuously evolving. His fascination with Nature and the eternal motherhood that she represents inspires him to adore and celebrate the eternal womanhood, as is evidenced in his paintings where Nature is most of the time presented as a female figure. He is a fervent advocate of Nature Conservation and Feminism, and strongly supports the causes of the protection of Nature and the celebration of female creativity through his artworks.
